Global Ecotourism Conference May 4-16, 2007, Oslo, Norway
The inaugural Global Ecotourism Conference will be held May 4 through 16 in Oslo, Norway this year. The Conference is set to be organized every five years in different cities around the world. Sponsored by the UN, the Global Ecotourism Conference of 2007 will review and celebrate the achievements in the ecotourism field, as well as assess the challenges. The conference will bring together ecotourism associations and networks from around the world, along with any other interested organizations and individuals to discuss common issues and strengthen the collective voice of the ecotourism community. This conference will play a large role in the growing global movement for ecotourism and help to ensure that it is environmentally, as well as financially sustainable.

IUCN Protected Areas Categories Summit May 7-11, 2007, Almeira, Spain
