Brooks
Bonner (Co-Founder) has a B.A. from San Francisco
State University, Brooks' focus on Intercultural Communication
broadens our reach in the international arena. He recently
received his M.A. in International Environmental Policy
from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where
his areas of interests included wildlife conservation, nonprofit
management and protected areas policy. Brooks has several
years of experience working with nonprofit organizations
like The Santa Lucia Conservancy which manages a 20,000
acre private preserve, and the Ventana Wildlife Society.
Additionally, his research on private conservation has taken
him to several countries in Latin America, increasing his
knowledge on the subject matter.
Alan
Grundy (Co-Founder) has a B.S. from Florida Institute
of Technology, Alan’s focus on Oceanography and being
a native Spanish and English speaker brings a strong cultural
background to PRN. He recently received his M.A. in International
Environmental Policy from the Monterey Institute of International
Studies, where his areas of interest included protected
areas policy and sustainable development. Alan has lived
in several Latin American countries and traveled throughout
all of South America, allowing him to experience many forms
of conservation. He served in Panama as a Peace Corps Environmental
Conservation volunteer, and is the Executive Director of
Futafriends, an organization working on preserving the Futaleufu
River Valley through sustainable tourism and strong community
groups.
Nathaniel
Miller (Co-Founder) has a B.A. from Miami University,
Nat's focus on political science and experience in environmental
conservation has led him to work at numerous parks in North
and Central America. He recently received his M.A. in International
Environmental Policy from the Monterey Institute of International
Studies, where his areas of interest included marine conservation
and protected areas policy. Nat most recently worked for
the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute and also has
experience as a Development Coordinator. As with the other
Co-Founders, Nat’s research has taken him to numerous
Latin American countries, understanding what private conservation
looks like on the ground.
