Private
protected areas range in size and types, sure
to fit any travelers needs or wants. PRN provides the
traveler access to a list of private reserves in every
country of North and South America. Browse through the
website to learn of a private protected area near you.
The
Private Reserves Network works diligently to
sign-up member parks worldwide with the purpose of compiling
information on the location and characteristics of each
private reserve in each country of the world. The PRN
ParkPages is an encyclopedia of private reserves,
with each member reserve containing a profile of its park
characteristics. Flip through the PRN ParkPages to find
a specific private protected area by name.
PRN's
Park Finder uses Google
Earth Technology to search for member reserves
in each country. Check out a reserve near you by zooming
into your place of residence or your travel destination.
Search by country and choose the reserve
that fits your needs and desires. Every member reserve
has a map of its park limits, along with a profile describing
its reserve, possible activities, accommodations and transportation
options.
PRN
supports small and large private protected areas
by organizing group trips along regions that are off-the-beaten
path. For travelers interested in set itineraries, planned
activities, organizational support and traveling security,
the Private Reserves Network offers you our Eco-Trips.
Dependent on demand, each year two or more countries are
chosen to be included in set itineraries, visiting
private protected areas that are conservation centers
of pristine beauty. The PRN Eco-Trips integrates
several different private reserves in its trip schedule
as a way to educate the public on best conservation practices
and improve and expand private conservation worldwide.
